"Parvovirus" also known as parvo, a disease that attacks dogs gastrointestinal system and heart muscles, and can often be fatal.
Vet says that virus can be transmitted through contact with an infected dog's droppings, can live in am an environment for months, and is highly resistant to normal disinfected.
Parvovirus causes vomiting, loss of appetite, bloody diarrhoea and lethargy.
A dog with parvo may also have difficulty absorbing nutrient, increasing the risk for dehydration and malnutrition. Even with treatment, dogs can develop sepsis and die.

What action to take to protect our pets?
Wash and rinse your dog's paws after woodland or wild walk and if possible use pets antiseptic antibacterial prewash before rinsing with warm or cold water.
